Council House - Free Advice

Disability Direct will provide a FREE advice and form filling service to disabled people within Derby City Council's brand new Council House.

Disability Direct's free drop-in service in the new Council House will offer advice and signposting for disabled people in Derby, their families, friends, carers and professionals on a range of issues including equipment adaptations, holidays, home support, respite transport, sport, disability discrimination, activities and carers rights.

Disability Direct's services in the new building will also include a free welfare rights and form filling service for disabled people and their families who are residents of Derby. Appointments will be available at the Council House to discuss and complete paperwork for the Disability Learning Allowance, Carers Allowance, Attendees Allowance and Employment Support Allowance, alongside benefits checks.

The services, which will be available at the Council House on Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, will be managed by members of Disability Direct's expert team, including its Information Officer and Assistant, BME Officers, Disability Discrimination Officer, Personal Assistant Register Coordinator, Welfare Rights and Benefits Officer, Carers Support Worker and Safe & Well Project Coordinator.
