The annual review is the statutory process of looking at the needs and provision specified in an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). During the annual review, the SEND service decides whether the needs and provision detailed in the plan should be changed.
The SEND Service will hold the first review within 12 months of the finalised plan. The SEND service will then hold future reviews within 12 months of the previous review.
Please see advice and guidance on the EHC Hub.
Please see the related documents section of this page to learn about what NHS services can do to help in each annual review.
Derbyshire Information and Support Service (DIASS) provides independent, impartial information, advice. They do this to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). They also support their parents and carers.
