There are Children’s outpatient clinics at The Den, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, where you will see a paediatrician who is there to support children, young people, and their families from diagnosis through to treatment and management of their condition, from 0 to 17 years old. 

  • Allergy Testing
  • Bronchial Provocation testing

South Derbyshire and Derby City

University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust - Children's Respiratory

The Children’s Respiratory team at University Hospital Derby provides care for children and young people from 0 to 17 years old, as well as their families, from diagnosis through to treatment and management of their condition.

  • Allergy testing

What happens post-18?

Young people would be transitioned to the adult respiratory service or back to their GP. Most children are under the care of their GP unless they have severe asthma.
