Shopmobility
Shopmobility is a nationwide scheme which lends manual wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters to members of the public with limited mobility, so they can shop and visit leisure and commercial facilities independently within their local area or shopping centre. Anyone can use the scheme, whether you have a long or short-term disability and you don't need to be registered disabled.
Wizzybug
Wizzybug is a fun, innovative, powered wheelchair that is provided free of charge to young children in the UK by Designability, a charity based in Bath. Wizzybug is designed for physically disabled children including children living with cerebral palsy, spinal muscular atrophy, spina bifida or muscular dystrophy, as well as children with amputations or other conditions that affect their ability to walk. Wizzybug is intended for pre-school children of minimum age 14 months and a maximum weight of 20 kg. Families can apply directly via the application form on Wizzybug website.
